State & A , in collaboration with the Downtown Organization and neighboring art venues, is excited to present 1st Thursday, an evening of art and culture in Downtown Santa Barbara. On the first Thursday of every month, participating downtown galleries will stay open from 5-8 p.m. (or later) to offer free access to art in a fun and social environment.

The next 1st Thursday will be July 1st. 

Karen Fedderson’s Santa Barbara coastal landscapes hit an elusive "sweet spot" with their rare balance of detailed realism and emotion. Inspired by her deep love of the pacific coast, the paintings transcend mere paint and canvas and become energized events that transport the viewer to a magical time and place.

State & A is proud to present "Talk'n Gauchos," the all-new radio show of UCSB Athletics. "Talk'n Gauchos" will air live from State & A every Tuesday night from 6-7pm on KIST 1490 and will cover all things Gaucho.

Stop by to hear everything from renovation plans on Harder Stadium, which will host the 2010 Soccer National Championship, to Head Basketball Coach Bob Williams' pregame rituals. The show will feature coaches, athletes, and administrators who have all “Dared to be Great,” and take UCSB Athletics to the next level!
